Fatemeh Ameli is a Canadian Postdoctoral Research Award (CPRA) Fellow at Nipissing University and a sessional lecturer at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE), University of Toronto. She holds a PhD in Educational Leadership and Policy from the University of Toronto. Her research focuses on educational stratification and life-course transitions, using large-scale longitudinal and mixed-methods approaches to examine how early educational experiences shape later academic and labor market outcomes. Drawing on population-level administrative data, she studies student achievement trajectories, early childhood development, and education-to-employment transitions, with particular attention to how school, neighborhood, and social contexts influence opportunity over time.

With over 16 years of experience in education and management, she has produced award-winning, policy-relevant, and equity-focused research that explores how evidence can inform more inclusive educational and workforce systems.
