Dr Faith Martin is a clinical and health psychologist and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Psychology at the University of Bath. Her current research focuses on understanding and supporting the wellbeing of parents where their young person is experiencing mental health or other challenges. She has conducted research in the UK, Malaysia and Rwanda on this topic, with a keen interest in the role of culture to wellbeing.
Alongside her academic role, she has worked in NHS services and has led the development and evaluation of psychological support programmes in collaboration with community organisations and healthcare providers. She previously focused on developing self-management interventions to support wellbeing for a range of different needs, including people living with long-term health conditions, as well as supporting parents of children with different needs.
