Eva Jimenez-Guri

I am a multidisciplinary biologist, bridging molecular biology, conservation, evolution, and ecotoxicology, with a strong interest in how human activities impact wildlife and their ability to provide ecosystem services. With a background in developmental biology, I am fascinated by how anthropogenic disturbances affect animal life cycles, and the consequences of this for ecosystems and society. My main interest is on how pollution affect animal development, physiology, and fitness. Invertebrates—ranging from spiny marine echinoderms to disguised migratory hoverflies—are at the heart of my scientific passion and serve as key models in my investigations.
