Ethan Plaut brings experience in computer science, journalism, and other creative practices to his scholarship on computational media. Among his current projects is a book about disconnection and technology refusal. At University of Auckland, Dr. Plaut teaches courses on technology ethics and creative coding as well as currently serving as Assistant Dean (AI for Teaching & Learning) Te Pūtahi Mātauranga | The Faculty of Arts and Education. Before academia, he worked for three years as a journalist in Cambodia.
