Erika Rackley is an interdisciplinary legal scholar whose research spans judicial studies, legal history, tort law, law and humanities, law and gender and criminal law.

Her scholarship, particularly relating to image-based sexual abuse, has shaped and informed policy and public debate. She has extensive media experience including print (Guardian, New Statesman, Law Society Gazette), radio (Radio 4, local radio, FM4 radio) and TV (Sky One).

She is author and editor of a number of books, including Women, Judging and the Judiciary: From Difference to Diversity (Routledge, 2013) and Women's Legal Landmarks (Hart, 2020). In 2014, she was awarded a prestigious Phillip Leverhulme Prize for her achievements in the field of law.
