Eric Clinton is an Associate Professor of Entrepreneurship & Executive MBA Course Chair at DCU Business School. Visiting Professor at Babson College (USA) and the University of Valencia (Spain). He received his PhD from the Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School UCD.
Dr Clinton is the Director of the DCU National Centre for Family Business, a leading European family business research centre. Eric’s research interests are primarily concerned with entrepreneurial practices in family firms and the successful nurturing of family firms across generations. His research has been published in leading international journals such as the Journal of Management Studies; Entrepreneurship Theory & Practice; Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal; Academy of Management Annals; Academy of Management Review; and Family Business Review. Eric’s work has won best paper awards at the Academy of Management Conference, Babson College Entrepreneurship Research Conference, and the Strategic Management Society. His research has been funded by the European Union, Irish Research Council, Family Firm Institute, and the Institute for Family Business.
