Eoin White

(He/him)

I lecture and conduct user-centered Medtech design research in the School of Architecture & Product Design at the University of Limerick, Ireland. I am passionate about merging data and intuition to drive impactful innovation. I specialise in qualitative research methodologies, research rigour, and ethical research integrity throughout the entire product lifecycle, from problem definition and product development to design verification, and validation against stakeholder requirements. I have expertise in creatively applying qualitative research methods, such as ethnographic studies, immersion/observation, in-depth interviews, and product evaluation, to enhance user experience. I am skilled in human factors research, rapid prototyping, clinical evaluation, and regulatory considerations.

I am currently Course Director for the BSc Product Design & Technology at the University of Limerick, and I supervise PhD students in Human Factors, sustainability, and medical device development research. Additionally, I am involved in two spin-out companies as design and regulatory lead. I am published in peer-reviewed scholarly journals, and am co-inventor on several medical device patents (EU & US).
