Enrica De Cian is professor in environmental economics at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice (Italy), senior scientist at Fondazione Centro Euro-Mediterraneo sui Cambiamenti Climatici (CMCC), and at RFF-CMCC European Institute on Economics and the Environment. She is also the PI of the research cluster in Energy Humanities at NICHE Centre for Environmental Humanities

Her research focuses on the global impacts of climate change on the economy, the society, sustainable development, and climate adaptation. Her works bring together macro and micro economic approaches, including integrated assessment models, applied econometric methods, and statistical approaches, as well as qualitative methods.
