Emma Marshall's research program seeks to understand the complex interplay between our social relationships (e.g., our romantic relationships, friendships, family etc.) and our mental and physical health. She also seeks to understand these processes in times of stress (e.g., the transition to parenthood or conflict) and trauma (e.g., natural disasters, pandemics). Emma received her PhD in Health and Social Psychology at the University of Canterbury during which she received a Fulbright Science and Innovation award. As a Fulbright student scholar, she attended the University of Minnesota to receive further research and academic development in Social Psychology. Emma has completed two research fellowship positions - the first at Kent State University and the second at Deakin University. She is currently working as a Lecturer at Deakin University, Geelong.
