Emma Landmesser works on various topics at the intersection of forced displacement, migration and development, with a particular focus on causes of displacement and the design of development-oriented labor migration. Prior to joining SWP in 2022, she gained work experience at the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Center for International Peace Operations (ZIF) and the humanitarian organization SOS Méditerranée. She holds a BA in European Studies from Maastricht University and an MA in International Relations from Freie Universität Berlin, Humboldt University Berlin and Potsdam University.
