My research at PhD focused on the work of teaching assistants and managing behaviour. My research since has centred around girls at risk of permanent exclusion in England and marginalised groups in schools.
I lead a primary PGCE and have taught on undergraduate and Masters level education programmes, as well as teaching and supervising at doctoral level. I review nationally and internationally for a range of academic journals as well as sitting on the editorial board of Support for Learning journal.
