- Honorary Research Associate, TABLE, University of Oxford
Emma Burnett is a researcher and writer.
She is currently an Honorary Research Associate at TABLE, a food systems platform that sets out the evidence, assumptions and values that people bring to debates about resilient and sustainable food futures. She is working on research relating to regenerative agriculture and the drinks industry, as well as investigating innovative practices for regenerative agriculture in arable systems.
Emma's doctoral research focused on competition, cooperation, and self-organisation for resilience in localised agri-food systems. Her experiences are deeply rooted in Oxford's food scene. In 2012, along with four others, she co-founded Cultivate, a cooperative social enterprise that works to produce and distribute more local food within Oxfordshire, and to help the community get involved in food-related issues and solutions. She has an MSc in Biodiversity, Conservation and Management from Oxford University.
