Emma Banister

Emma Banister is a Professor of Consumption and Society and a member of the Work and Equalities Institute, Alliance Manchester Business School, University of Manchester.

Her research explores issues associated with gender and work, with a particular focus on families and fatherhood, using qualitative methods.

As well as publishing widely in academic journals spanning Sociology and Business, her work has been referred to in a number of different media outlets including The Guardian, The Telegraph, Huffington Post, Shortlist, Stylist, BBC R4's Thinking Aloud and she has also appeared on BBC's One Show and Radio 5 Live.
