Emily's research interests include organisational theory, inequality regimes, and governance in higher education. To date, her research has focused on the impact of research evaluation on female academic careers, women’s lived experiences of organisational life, pensions, and the experiences of older workers.
Emily’s research aims to be at the forefront of research into the Research Excellence Framework (REF), as well as research evaluation across the globe, contributing empirical findings to the discourse in an original and innovative way. She has published in journals such as Gender, Work and Organization; Work, Employment and Society; and The British Educational Research Journal.
Overall, Emily's work contributes to contemporary understandings of gendered organisational behaviour and women’s lived experiences of organisational life.
