I am an evolutionary biologist, and Head of the Evolutionary & Conservation Genomics Research Group at Monash University.

My research is driven by questions about the evolutionary past of species, and the environments in which they live. I am also especially interested in the ways we can use museum collections as a resource for understanding biodiversity loss. My research primarily focuses on the spectacular diversity of native Australian mammals and reptiles, using approaches in phylogenomics, phylogeography, population genomics and statistical molecular evolution.
