Emily Roberts-Tyler

(She/her)

I am a Lecturer in Education in The North Wales School of Education, Bangor University.

Much of my research to date has explored how we can develop, pilot, refine, and robustly evaluate educational interventions in school settings. A significant element of this work has been focused on reducing the existing inequities when it comes to education and the evidence-base for educational interventions for children and adolescents with learning disabilities, specifically in relation to increasing the use of robust evaluations to inform practice.

I have extensive experience of evaluating academic interventions in mainstream primary and special schools, including leading a large trial in special schools in England. I have also led research exploring the impact of Covid-19 on literacy provision for learners across mainstream primary and special schools across Wales.

I hold a PhD in Psychology and an MSc in Applied Behaviour Analysis, both awarded from Bangor University.
