I've been employed as an academic at the University of Bristol since 2005. Firstly as a lecturer, then working my way up to Professor in 2014.
Prior to working in Bristol I was a postdoc at the Natural History Museum London, Department of Zoology, University of Oxford and a Junior Research Fellow at Emmanuel College Cambridge.
I have a PhD in Palaeontology from the Department of Earth Sciences, University of Cambridge (1997-2002)
And a first degree BA (Hons) in Biological Sciences from Hertford College, University of Oxford (1993-1996.
