I am interested in the human dimension of marine systems, and the way this interaction is governed through both formal institutions and social processes. I use theories of political economy, environmental governance and sociology, marine geography and socio-ecological systems in my investigations of fisheries, aquaculture and marine resource-based uses and communities.
