Emily's PhD research focuses on effective mathematical tasks in high school classrooms, and she is an OCT-certified biology and math teacher. Her master's research focused on exploring how productive disposition relates to performance on the EQAO. She has been a part of many research projects, including being a team lead for the creation of online teaching modules about innovative teaching and learning for UNESCO, collaborating globally with scholars from the University of Novi Sad on a COIL research project about citizen sensing, working with the genAI-dentity team that developed surveys and workshops focusing on individuals' comfort in using genAI, and being an evaluation intern for a youth innovation and entrepreneurship program at the Dunin-Deshpande Queen's Innovation Centre.
