Dr Emilie Vrain is a Senior Researcher at the Environmental Change Institute, University of Oxford. As a social scientist, her research uses both quantitative and qualitative methods, analysing factors which influence behaviours. Her current work investigates the factors influencing the adoption and use of digital low carbon innovations. Emilie worked on the iDODDLE project funded by the European Research Council and investigated the underlying mechanisms of digital daily life and the impacts on climate change.

She has also been an invited researcher at LISST (Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire Solidarités, Sociétés, Territoires) in Toulouse, France.

She has particular interest and specialism in knowledge exchange, translating science for policy development and has most recently developed skills in social network analysis and designing complex online surveys.
