- PhD in Medieval History, University of Nottingham
I finished my PhD in 2017 at the University of Nottingham. My thesis, 'Circulating Saints: A Study of the Movement of Corporeal Relics in Three Regions of Western Europe, c 800-1200' examined the economic and social benefits that came from moving saints' relics within cathedrals and regionally in France, England, and Flanders in the High Middle Ages. I am most interested in medieval economics and its impact on religious behaviour, including popular devotional practices, the economics of saints' cults, and the intersections between trade networks and ecclesiastical communities.
