- Professor of Entomology and Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics, Penn State
After completing my PhD at The Pennsylvania State University, I did my postdoc at the Yale University School of Medicine, Department of Epidemiology and Public Health. I then held several faculty positions in Australia at the University of Queensland and Monash University before being recruited back to Penn State in 2017. In my current role, I am director of the Center for Infectious Disease Dynamics, as well as a Huck Scholar in Entomology. My research group has spent the last 20 years studying mosquito:virus interactions and the use of the bacterial symbiont, Wolbachia pipientis for biocontrol against mosquito borne diseases.
