Elizabeth Bettini

(she/her)

Dr. Bettini has a PhD in special education from the University of Florida, and is currently an associate professor at Boston University. Dr. Bettini's research examines factors shaping the special education workforce, with a particular focus on working conditions. Her current projects are funded by the Institute of Education Sciences and the Spencer Foundation, and all focus on policies and practices through which the special education workforce can be strengthened. She was recently awarded the 2025 Presidential Early Career Award for Scientists and Engineers, from President Joseph R. Biden.
