Elizabeth Bailey is Associate Professor and Director of the Elizabeth Bryan Multiple Births Centre. Liz became a registered Midwife in 2004 and worked clinically before developing an interest in research.
Liz’s research interests focus on complex pregnancy and the organisation of maternity services. Liz is also an advocate for clinical academic careers in Nursing and Midwifery.
The Elizabeth Bryan Multiple Births Centre (EBMBC) was established in 2017 through an exciting partnership between Birmingham City University and the Multiple Births Foundation, (a charity founded in 1988 and supporting multiple birth care until 2022). Liz is now leading the EBMBC at BCU in its vision to become an internationally renowned centre for excellence in education, practice and research into multiple pregnancy, birth and life course of families with multiples.
