I am a PhD researcher at the University of Sheffield. My thesis, tentatively titled 'Remaking Sylvia: Autofiction, Intertextuality, and Self-Representation in Plath’s Collected Writings', treats Sylvia Plath's oeuvre as an "intertextual autobiography" and examines how she rewrote life events across texts of varied genres. My broad research interests are twentieth-century American Literature, life-writing, intertextuality, modernism, biofiction, and writers whose life stories influence the reception of their art (specifically Plath, F. Scott Fitzgerald, and Christopher Isherwood). I am also interested in popular culture and popular music, particularly when these overlap with classic literature.
