Dr. Silva is the Director of Policy Research at the University of Pittsburgh Institute for Cyber Law, Policy, and Security. She analyzes the complex interplay of technology and society in today's information ecosystems, developing creative policy solutions. With a background in academic libraries and teaching in higher ed, Dr. Silva brings a broad range of research methods and perspectives to her work which is informed by humanistic analysis, social science approaches, and a commitment to community engagement. Her work can be found in various academic journals including the Journal of Information Literacy and in public venues like Tech Policy Press.
