Dr. Elisabeth Vogel is a McKenzie Fellow in the School of Geography, Earth and Atmospheric Sciences at the University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on the impacts of climate and hydrological extremes on food production in Australia and globally. Elisabeth is particularly interested in the effects of compound climate extremes, such as simultaneous heatwaves or droughts across major breadbasket regions, and their effects on global agricultural production and trade. Before joining the University of Melbourne, Elisabeth worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of New South Wales and as a Research Hydrologist at the Bureau of Meteorology.
