I have a PhD in Social Anthropology, focusing on the affective implications of the politics of (non)belonging. I carried out ethnographic fieldwork in Italy. My research interest is in how the meanings of place and community are articulated through emotions and the senses. I received an ESRC studentship for both my PhD and for for my MA. I graduated with an MA in Social Anthropology (Research Methods) from Durham in 2014 and, before that, I gained a BA in Social Anthropology from Goldsmiths College.
