Elena Marchetti

I am a the co-Director of the Disrupting Violence Beacon and a Professor of Law, Griffith University. I am also a member of the Australian Research Council, College of Experts and a Fellow of the Queensland Academy of Arts and Sciences. I was the Deputy Chair of the Queensland Sentencing Advisory Council from 2016-2025. My area of research expertise is in Indigenous criminal justice issues. I am currently working on an ARC funded project that examines the use of Aboriginal Community Justice Reports in sentencing.
