Elan Lazuardi trained as an anthropologist. From 2010 to 2016, she served as a junior research fellow at the Centre for Tropical Medicine, Faculty of Medicine, Public Health and Nursing at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Currently, she teaches and conducts research at the Department of Anthropology at Universitas Gadjah Mada, focusing on everyday navigation practices in healthcare settings.
