Edwin Mutyenyoka

Edwin Mutyenyoka is a migration scholar and post-doctoral researcher at the Arnold Bergstraesser Institute in Germany in a ERC-funded project: The Political Lives of Migrants: Perspectives from Africa (PolMig). His PhD from the Institute for Migration Research and Intercultural Studies (IMIS) at the University of Osnabrueck in Germany examined the intersection of post-colonial state-welfarism and south-south migration through the case study of post-Apartheid South Africa. Within the PolMig, Edwin explores questions of identity, belonging, political agency and structural injustices in Kenya as a space marked by diverse migration trajectories.
