PhD candidate at the Department of Geography, University of Cambridge.
A political and historical geographer, Ed's work explores the geopolitical significance of U.S. presidential visits during the Cold War. How were they planned, performed and portrayed? What impact did they have upon the perceived strategic landscape of the Cold War? And how have they influenced the nature of contemporary presidential travel?
Ed's other research interests include the practice of critical geopolitics, 'more-than-human' philosophies, and the geographies of protest.
