Ece Göztepe Çelebi

Ece Göztepe is a Turkish and Comparative Constitutional Law Professor at the Faculty of Law (Bilkent University, Ankara/Turkey), the founder and Executive Board Member of the “Center for Human Rights Studies and Research” at the same university. Her main research interest and expertise are Turkish and German public law, with an emphasis on judicial review, state of emergency regimes, and international law.
She has received the experienced research scholarship (2012-2013) of the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation (AvH) and spent a year as a guest professor at the Free University in Berlin. She also served as an Ambassador Scientist of the AvH for Turkey (2014-2020). For the academic year 2025-2026 she has been a visiting research professor at the Law & Society Institute (Humboldt University Berlin).
