Dwight Newman has published around a hundred articles or book chapters and a dozen books on topics in constitutional law, Indigenous rights, and related subject matters. His work has been cited at all levels of Canadian courts, including repeatedly by the Supreme Court of Canada on matters including the duty to consult. He has also published a number of think tank policy pieces, and he is a Munk Senior Fellow of the Macdonald-Laurier Institute in Constitutional Law.
