Duncan Caillard is a Lecturer in Global Creative Industries in Arts and Cultural Management at the University of Melbourne. His research investigates transnational art cinema in the Asia-Pacific, concentrating on works of anti-authoritarian and decolonial art practice in Thailand and Hawai’i. His work has been published in Third Text, New Review of Film and Television Studies and Senses of Cinema, and he is the author of Apichatpong Weerasethakul: Contemplation and Resistance (Edinburgh University Press, 2025).
