Dr. Wesam Al-Jeddawi is currently an executive director of laboratory services at DiscoverFresh Foods Inc. He earned a Ph.D. degree in Food, Nutrition and Packaging Sciences from Clemson University, the United States in December 2022 (Latin Honor: Magna Cum Laude). His major focuses on food chemistry, quality, enzymology, and shelf-life studies. He earned a M.Sc. degree in Food, Nutrition and Culinary Sciences from Clemson University, the United States in May 2014 (Latin Honor: Cum Laude).
With having 11 years of experience in leading and conducting analytical research and scientific activities ideally in the food chemistry and microbiology, Dr. Wesam’s career niche at the interface of academia and food industries. He worked as a graduate teaching assistant and graduate research assistant at Clemson University from August 2016 to April 2018. Then, he received multiple leadership position roles at DiscoverFresh Foods Inc. from April 2018 to the present. He is a member of the editorial board in the journal of food research (The Canadian Center of Science and Education, Canada). Dr. Wesam is a permanent resident in the United States.
