Tony uses a diverse toolkit of technical expertise and strategic thinking to enable healthy and sustainable forms of transport that help solve big challenges such as mitigating climate change, minimising health care costs, managing traffic congestion, and improving the liveability (and loveability) of our cities.
Tony began his professional career developing software algorithms for companies such as Canon, the CSIRO and Fairlight before transitioning into the transport sector where he has delivered results across domains including freight optimisation, network design, strategy development, road design, safety and communications.
A life-long learner and constantly curious collaborator, Tony initially completed a degree in engineering (first-class honours) and has since earnt post-graduate qualification in business administration and a PhD from the University of Sydney. He currently manages data & analytics capabilities for walking and cycling at Transport for NSW and teaches courses in Python, R, statistics, spatial analysis and AI at the University of Sydney.
