Dr Patryk Makowski

Patryk Makowski is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Work and Employment Studies at the University of Limerick. He holds a PhD in Leadership and Organisational Behaviour from the Technological University of the Shannon (TUS). Patryk teaches undergraduate and postgraduate modules including Psychology of Work, Human Resource Management and Development, and People Behaviour in Projects. His primary research interests include leadership, employee engagement, and the evolving nature of work in remote and hybrid contexts. He is also broadly interested in organisational behaviour, human resource management, and sustainable work practices. Recently, Patryk has collaborated with international scholars on innovative research projects exploring the application of artificial intelligence in the workplace, job retention strategies, and talent management practices across multiple industries.
