- Adjunct professor, University of Tasmania
I am a natural scientist (oceanographer) employed as academic at Flinders University from December 1999 to February 2026. One of my research highlights was the discovery of the Great Southern Coastal Upwelling System, which is an important nutrient source fuelling the marine food chain on the southern shelves of Australia. Another highlight was my early prediction of the longevity of the deadly algal bloom in South Australian gulfs. See Google Scholar or ResearchGate for a full publication list. In my spare time I arrange music scores for the piano accordion (available on Amazon) or write short stories (available on Wattpad). .
