Dr Wasim is currently the Head of Business and Management at Edinburgh Business School. He has held academic positions at Robert Gordon University and the University of Portsmouth and several board positions for international organisations. Dr Wasim pioneered the entrepreneurial skills development programme for inmates in Scottish Prisons to potentially reduce the reoffending rate upon their release.

An experienced doctoral supervisor, he has published in leading international journals and raised significant external funding for research and consulting. He is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and the Higher Education Academy.
