- Lecturer, Queensland University of Technology
Grace is a lecturer/researcher with the Queensland University of Technology. She has worked in partnership with Indigenous communities throughout Queensland for many years. In the past 20 years, Grace has worked across the primary, secondary and tertiary education sectors to embed Indigenous perspectives into the curriculum and strongly advocates for culturally inclusive education for Indigenous children. Grace has a strong interest in the need for urgent educational reform to support the engagement of young Indigenous males at school preventing their over-representation in the juvenile justice system. Her aim is to highlight systemic educational inequities that may lead to the disengagement and exclusion of some Indigenous children from the education system.
