Dr. Farhan M. Asrar

Dr. Farhan M. Asrar trained as a public health physician and a family physician. He is the Associate Dean at the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) School of Medicine, Associate Professor at University of Toronto, and an international space medicine researcher.

His research in space medicine has involved working with experts and astronauts from space agencies around the world, and leading international projects. He is looking at human health in space, including deep space missions; and also looking at how space technology can help health & the environment on Earth.

A global educator and speaker, he has been invited to teach professionals and learners from 30 countries and six continents

Dr. Asrar has been frequently invited by the media to speak on Space Medicine including being interviewed by CNN, New York Times, ABC News, NBC News, CBC news, CTV news, Toronto Star, Houston Chronicle, and USA Today.

He was also recently the recipient of the King's Coronation Medal
