Emma Davies is an Associate Professor in Psychology at Oxford Brookes University, researching how people make decisions about alcohol in real life. Her work focuses on behaviour change, mental health and the ways in which public health messages, products and social environments shape drinking.
She specialises in alcohol harm reduction, including the growing use of alcohol‑free and low‑alcohol (NoLo) drinks, and has studied how advertising, identity and social context influence whether these products help people cut down.
