I am a professor, researcher, and practitioner specializing in climate change adaptation, spatial planning, and resilience. Over the past 30 years, I have worked at the intersection of science and policy, helping governments, international organizations, and communities understand and respond to climate risks. I currently serve as Professor of Urban and Regional Planning and Director of the Climate Change Centre at Institut Teknologi Bandung (ITB), where I lead research and capacity-building initiatives on climate resilience and sustainable development.

Throughout my career, I have collaborated with institutions including the World Bank, JICA, ADB, UNICEF, UNDP, and various ministries in Indonesia. My interests include climate risk assessment, adaptation governance, resilient infrastructure, ecosystem-based adaptation, and climate finance. I enjoy working across disciplines and translating scientific knowledge into practical solutions that support more resilient and equitable futures.
