- PhD Researcher, Department of English, King's College London
I am interested in the intersections between life-writing, visual culture and literature, particularly in response to war. My doctoral research provides the first literary and cultural examination of the Indian soldiers' experiences in the Second World War, considering works in both English and Bengali languages, and drawing upon my bilingual skills.
My broader research interests include cultural exchanges between Europe and its colonies during the 1930s and 1940s, comparative literature in English and Indian languages, conflict and the politics of remembrance, and colonial photography.
