Dimitris Dalakoglou is Professor, holding the Chair in Social Anthropology and Sociology of Development at Vrije University Amsterdam.
He is working on mobility, cross-border and urban infrastructures in the Balkans and Southeastern Europe. In 2017 he was awarded a VIDI-Innovative Research Grant for his project infra-demos.net. In 2012 was awarded an ESRC-Future Research Leaders grant for the project 'The City at a time of Crisis' (crisis-scape.net).
