Dilwyn Marple-Horvat

Professor Dilwyn Marple-Horvat is Professor of Motor Neuroscience at Manchester Metropolitan University. His research investigates how the brain uses sensory information to plan and control movement, and how neurological and medical conditions can disrupt this process. He has a particular interest in the coordination of vision and movement during complex everyday activities, including driving. His recent research has examined how diabetic peripheral neuropathy can affect pedal control and driving performance, with the aim of identifying risks and potential ways to make driving safer for people with diabetes-related nerve damage.
