Diana M. Barrero Jaramillo (she/her) is a feminist researcher, educator, and community organizer. She is currently completing her PhD at the University of Toronto with a collaborative specialization in Women and Gender Studies. Her doctoral work focuses on social movements, education, and memorialization of violence in contexts of transitional justice.
Diana has over five years working as an educator and researcher. She designed, implemented, and assessed culturally relevant programs to improve education for Eeyou (Cree) students. She has also worked as a research assistant on two projects funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council. Most recently, she has been leading and facilitating as a teaching assistant first and second-year courses at the University of Toronto in Women and Gender Studies and International Development Studies, and she is also part of the editorial team at Curriculum Inquiry.
