- Associate Professor of Nuclear Physics, University of Guelph
I am an experimental nuclear physicist working on fundamental research and applications in medical physics. More specifically, I am trying to pin down the origin of elements in the cosmos through nuclear physics experiments with so called "rare" isotopes. The same experimental tools can be used to create highly energetic beams which are a powerful tool to treat certain types of cancers. My team develops tools to make those irradiations more precise and safe for the patients.
