Denise Marigold

Denise Marigold, PhD, is a social psychologist and Associate Professor of Social Development Studies at Renison University College, affiliated with University of Waterloo in Ontario, Canada. Broadly, her research examines cognitive and behavioural processes in maintaining well-being in close relationships. This includes a) factors influencing receptivity to different kinds of social support and barriers to effective social support provision, b) approaches to conflict processing and conflict resolution, and c) AI-human relationship development and outcomes.

Dr. Marigold earned her PhD in social psychology at University of Waterloo. Her work has been funded by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. Dr. Marigold teaches course in Positive Psychology and Close Relationships.
